Hey, Wait Up!

Melbourne has a lot of great urban landscapes to frame and compliment the street portraits I like to capture.

On this day, I came across this railway underpass and it's amazing, geometric tones, natural lighting and rusty colours. I waited patiently for the right subject to walk into my shot, and he unknowingly posed perfectly.

  Melbourne Portraits by TQ Lee

When most people pose for the
camera, they unconsciously project the same image of themselves that they've seen hundreds of times before.

For this reason, my preferred portraiture style is natural and spontaneous. The result is a
much more memorable photo.
